a year later this is still the funniest video on the internet and i can’t even adequately explain why

It’s a perfect blend of several major kinds of comedy: confessional, relatable observation comedy (who hasn’t had someone make an incorrect presumption based on your appearance?), absurdist prop comedy, and character comedy revolving around her looks, voice, and mannerisms. And reclining (almost) out of frame is the perfect button on the skit. It’s comedy genius.

The first” she lowers her sunglasses over her eyes, “was a waitress who gave me clam chowder, the second was a man on an airplane who gave me cranberry juice,” she starts rolling the paint roller over her face, “and the third was just now at Home Depot with my mom. And so we were in the line and I was holding this big thing of plywood, and she was holding this tube but the tube didn’t have a tag on it, so she was like ‘Oh I’m gonna go back to the shelf and get one with a tag on it.’ And then he said ‘Oh,’ and he kind of looked at her like, ‘How are you gonna leave this infant here alone?’  But he let her do it. And he said ‘Okay I guess I’ll wait to ring you up then.’ And I said ‘Nope I’ve got money.’ And he looked at me like ‘Wow you have money?’ And I was like ‘Yeah’, so he pushed the cash button and I said ‘No, I have a credit card.’ ‘Oh, how do you have a credit card? You’re so young, you’re like thirteen.’” at this point, she starts making the car seat begin lying down, still continuing her story. “Yeah, got a credit card. ‘Wow, that’s so amazing that you have a credit card. That’s so crazy because you’re so young. Wow, a credit card. Wow.’”

at this point, her car seat is completely flat, and she stares up at the roof for a couple of seconds, still rolling her paint roller over her face. end description.]
