A vibrant blue room is glimpsed through a gate made from thin metals and chains arranged into a spider’s web. Small and unidentifiable (but obviously insect) sculptures hang caught at its center. The chains are thickest and most intimidating at the web’s outer corners, but grow delicate and jewelry-like at its inner chambers. These thinner chains hang precariously, so small they begin crisscrossing each other imperceptibly. They’re hyperrealistic next to the more industrial brass, like a spider really has woven its web at the center of Hodge’s gate.
