amazing how people (mostly, it seems, cis women) who have cried to mitski one (1) time will claim “unhingedness” while turning around and denouncing madpeople –– especially trans madpeople, especially trans women –– as “freaks” “degenerates”, the very language that calls for the fascistic eradication of the unhinged, the “insane.”

as @kohshka reminded me, the whiteness of this “aspirationally unhinged” woman, pitted against the violent “deviance” of the mad person, is always racialized. qtpoc, especially Black people, don’t have the luxury of romanticizing “hysteria” - a declaration of insanity means a fight for their lives.
